The Barbers didn\’t open yesterday, and up until now (2.15pm) it hasn\’t opened today, so all has been quiet…famous last words!
So this morning, I got stuck in, I took the dogs for their walk, loaded the washing machine, gave the bird table a scrub, had 20 minutes on the treadmill, then it was time for breakfast, before doing proper work!
I cut some 2×4 timber into 1 3/4 x 1 1/4 battens, and then drilled and screwed them to the wall in the office.
These along with the two units will support the new desk top, and once the desk top is in place, I will sort out that jungle of cabling, nearly all of that you can see hanging down the wall is from the CCTV system, it was in a spiral cable tidy, which I had to remove this morning.
The battens now in place, it was then time to start some electrics, one existing double plug had to be moved, and I have installed a second. On the wall to the right, I want to add a further two. This wont overload the system, because most of the items are only used occasionally. Hopefully I will finish the electrics tomorrow, after I have been shopping, and then, I just have to paint the walls, which shouldn\’t take longer than an hour, possibly two, and then I can finish the desk top, and install it.
