We had a lovely eight days away in the Dominican Republic, the Resort ( I would not describe it as a Hotel, as it is laid out in buildings over a large area) was up to scratch and more, contrary to many of the reviews we had read.
We arrived home on Monday evening, and on Tuesday, the bad news just kept on coming, my Bike is far more poorly than had been first thought, my Mechanic, couldn\’t work on it, it needed specialist tools being an import, he had had someone from Medellin come to look at the Royal Enfield, and the quote was three million pesos, I nearly dropped on the spot, but at the end of the day, it has to be done, or scrapped, so I gave the go ahead, how long it will take is anyone\’s guess.
I checked the coolant on the Nissan X-Trail and ended up putting two and a half litres in, after a lot of checking, we saw it dripping out underneath, there is a leak, hopefully the hose was not reconnected properly, but the lad who cleaned out the radiator may have damaged it in the process, we will know more tomorrow, because it is going back to Marcela\’s Uncle first thing in the morning, once that is sorted, we are selling it, yet another loss! I hate the car, and want another Montero, if we can find one, they are reliable and parts are cheap, and easy to find.
As for the house, there has been no further interest, so we have reduced the price, in the hope that it will generate more Viewers.
As a result of all this, I have realised that all I seem to write about is the things going wrong in our life, and so I am putting my Blog to bed once again. I am not removing or closing it, because if and when we sell the house and move, hopefully our luck will change, and I\’ll get the incentive to start Blogging again, but for now, it just looks depressing.
Thanks to those of you who have followed our daily lives, and hopefully we will meet up again in the future.
