Father-in-law left this morning, and Marcela back at work, so I am spending my time getting the house back in shape, thanks to my Mother-in-law it is not that hard, she has kept the Guest quarters clean and tidy, so I am just working the washing machine on overtime, and cleaned the three bathrooms.
I have to go to Copacabana after lunch, to meet Marcela and go to the Notary to arrange for the new Escritura / Deeds, now we have the Building License, whilst there with the car, we will top up the shopping before coming home.
In the mean time, I am catching up with news back in the UK, and reading about the Government giving a contract to a Company for Ferry Services for £14m in the event of a No Deal Brexit, and yet the company has no Boats, and no experience of this service, this sounds like a good scam to me. I think I\’ll round up a few old mates.

It would certainly top up the pension! I can\’t believe the stupidity of our Politicians, It was like the contract they gave to G4S for the 2012 Olympic Security in London, where the contract was given, despite them not having the Staff, but for the Police and Military stepping in to fill the breach, it would have been a complete fiasco. This will be the same, it will end up with a flotilla of small boats coming to the rescue, much as happened in the War.
UPDATE:
Marcela and I, had to go to the Alcaldía de Copacabana / Town Hall, to obtain a document needed to update the escritura, only to be told that it could not be issued until after January 15th, and no satisfactory explanation was given. We went to the Notary who confirmed that no escrituras could be updated and no properties in Copacabana, could be bought or sold without this document, it appears Copacabana has come to a halt for at least two weeks, thanks to gross dereliction of duty by the Alcaldía.
