Good News and Bad

On Wednesday I went to collect the result of my brain scan, it was good news…I have got one! no seriously, they stated that everything was normal, so I guess I can be thankful for that.

Yesterday, I was up at 5am again, and down at the Medical Center at 6am for blood and urine tests, and last night the results rolled in, bit by bit, yes some things are well organised here, and if you have email, they will send you your results, I had a full nine pages of them, all in the hope of helping diagnose why I am having a problem with my memory loss.

Most of my regular tests came back normal, I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I came across one, showing that I had been tested for syphilis, but thinking about it that can cause brain damage, so maybe it was a test they thought had to be done, I am just glad it came back negative, otherwise I would have had some explaining to do! 😂😂

Other tests were well above the accepted range, and that is a bit worrying, as I have no idea of the implications, fortunately I have the appointment with the Psychiatrist on Wednesday, and another with my Doc the following week, so hopefully I will then have a better idea.

Yesterday afternoon, I got down and dirty, I had an oil change on the Montero the other day, and I think the man doing it emptied the oil from the filter, down under the engine, where I have a protection pan, the oil had been dripping out, causing a mess where ever I parked, so I layed out a sheet of plastic under the car, unbolted the pan, and removed it for cleaning, there must have been about 1/2\” of old oil dried on top of the pan, so this was not the first time people had dropped the oil, I scraped it off, then cleaned the pan, and scraped off what I could reach from the underside of the engine block, before re-installing the pan. I looked like a regular mechanic, I was black, but hopefully no more dripping oil.

This morning, I have mixed up some hydraulic cement in almost liquid form, and using a funnel, I have filled behind the swimming pool tiles, that had been pushed forward by land movement, it was a messy job, which is why there are no photos, and cement was coming out of spaces between the tiles further down the wall, in the end,I had to cover these holes with masking tape, until the cement had started to go off, but the job is done, now it will be back to removing grout.

This afternoon is written off, because I am going with Marcela and another neighbour to sign off on the work done by \’Enimigo\’ at the Planning Office, then he will have his work legalised. We will then see if problems start, I have a sneaky suspicion that they have been behaving themselves, knowing that we would refuse to sign if they didn\’t, maybe as usual, I am just being pessimistic!
