Only One Plus Today!

First thing this morning, I removed a screw from Marcela\’s car tyre, hoping it hadn\’t penetrated right through, but our luck held, and sure enough the tyre started going down, so the wheel was changed, ready for Marcela to go off to work and have the puncture repaired.

I then moved everything from the Drying area, and the tool shed floor, ready for Diego to pour the new concrete floor tomorrow, all that was left to move was the washing machine, which I would have done with Diego.

That done it was time to start decorating, I gave the stucco in the dining room a quick coat of paint, so it would not be so noticeable until I had time to paint the whole room, then I started on the Guest bedroom, it only took a couple of hours, normally I would have rolled the paint, but at I had done a fair bit of work in there, and it was badly marked / stained, I brush painted it, so it went on thicker, it took a bit longer, but one coat was enough.

Now it just needs mopping, and dusting, then the blind put back up and all the bits replaced into their rightful places.

Next time I am in town, I will have to look for some pictures to go on the walls, just to make it seem a little more homely.

Most Colombians, have a Cross and religious artifacts in their rooms, but sorry…not here!

Whilst I was doing this, Marcela rang me, to inform me that she had contacted Diego to confirm work tomorrow, and he said he couldn\’t come, as rain had delayed the job he is on at the moment. He promised that he will be here next Saturday.

Whilst I appreciate his predicament, I can\’t wait much longer on his say so, that work should have started weeks ago, I bought the tile adhesive and grout, which only has a two month shelf life, so if he is not here next week, I will have to look for someone else, it\’s that or chuck the materials and start again, which I have no intention of doing.

Painting finished, I had lunch, a curry I had prepared earlier, and then went for my shower, that\’s work over for today, and the clouds are gathering for our daily storm, roll on November, and hopefully a summer, we can call summer!
