The Medical Rounds Again!

It\’s only 10.35am and as far as I am concerned my day is nearly over.

We had to get up at 5am today, as I had a medical appointment in Medellin at 7.40am, we left a little early, as I had to drop the Montero off, for the Mechanic to work on my clutch.

We arrived in Medellin at 6.50am, I then drank the required one litre of water, and we made our way to the Clinic, for an ultrasound of my stomach, top to bottom and all areas in the vicinity, by the time I was called through, I was dying to go to the toilet, but then I was kept waiting again, I was just about to tell them, they would have to cancel my appointment, as I couldn\’t last any longer, when I was called in.

The ultrasound itself only took two minutes, the best part was being able to go to the bathroom afterwards!!!! we then waited to collect the results and left. I read the results, and everything was normal except for a number of references to my Prostate, which is a bit worrying. I make a point of having an annual checkup, and until now all has been fine, I just need to find out what or if there is indeed a problem.

On the way home, we passed the garage dealing with the Montero, and it looked as if it hadn\’t been touched, so I gave Mario a ring, and he said he was about to look at it, I told him that Marcela would be dropping me off between 1 – 1.30pm, he said it would be ready.

Back home I scanned my results, fortunately I have a good relationship with my Family Doctor, so I loaded the results, together with the blood test results received over the past couple of days, and sent them to him via WhatsApp, asking if I need an appointment. I should return to see the Internista with these results, but after my experience with her, that is not going to happen any time soon.

So now I sit and wait, then go and collect my car, and return to bed!

Update:  I collected the Montero, the clutch is working fine, but I don\’t know what he has done, it is driving as if the brakes are locked on, and yet the wheels are not hot, so it isn\’t the brakes…back again tomorrow!
