I\’m Legal!

This morning for some reason I decided to check on the website for Migración Colombia to see if my new Cedula de Extranjería was ready for collection, they said two weeks… sure enough my number was on the list.

I decided it would be the ideal opportunity to try out the Montero, and see if it still had problems, so I saddled up, and off I went.

I have to say it is a bit disconcerting when your car sounds totally different, and it does, it seems that every mechanic and technician has his own way of doing things, before my problem, there were cut wires, and others bundled doing nothing, now there are even more!

However saying that, so far the car seems to be running OK, both on gas and petrol, the only problem is that the Tacho is only working intermittantly, it\’s not a major issue, as I never refer to it, being an older car, I don\’t go fast enough to worry, but it wasn\’t working at the Gas Workshop, and the Tech got it working, so when I am passing I will call in and ask him, if he can remember which wire is the offender.

I arrived at Migración, to find the system for collecting your Cedula had changed, previously I was given it at Reception, now you have to go to the other end of the building to claim it, I\’m not sure whether they have changed the format of all cedulas, or whether it is because I have changed my status here, but now the photo on mine is in black and white, certainly easier to photocopy, as I have already found.

Now I am legal for another five years!
