At least I now feel as if I have broken the back of this job, one chair and the table finished, just three chairs to go, I\’m not saying when they will be done, because I know Murphy will come along and put the mockers on that!

I may get a coat on one more chair today, but I will be working on the gatepost again, more the moment, until Murphy shows up, I have moved away from the welding option, I am going to cut the new post, and bolt it to the old one, I thought they were aluminium, but they are steel, it took a while to drill the holes, so today, once Marcela has left for work, I will remove the new post, cut it, then line it up with the new holes, drill and bolt it, and hope that is secure enough, if not then it will have to be welded as well. The only fly in the ointment on this, is that I have to remove the bell push, off the old post and re-site it.
