This morning, was spent sanding, using the orbital sander, my sanding blocks, the tube, and just hand sanding some of the finer profile. I managed to sand everything with 100 and 200 grit, it is becoming silky smooth but still someway to go.
I have decided that nothing lost in some experimentation, in hiding the nails heads, so I drilled out the sawdust /glue mix, that had gone dark, just filling the holes with glue and rubbing sawdust into the glue, it has certainly dried lighter, but still stands out,so will have to think again.
No time for any more serious work this week, as it will be taken up with medical appointments.
