Medical examination

This morning was a right off, as far as work was concerned, I had an appointment, following the problem I had in April, I had to go for an ultrasound in the City Center, which resulted in some hilarity last night, because I had to have a shave, somewhere that has not been silky smooth since I was a baby! So Marcela obliged, and even then managed to draw blood!!!

The traffic was light into the city, so we arrived early, fortunately there was no wait, I was called in almost immediately, the Doctor spoke good English, and asked if I wanted to speak Spanish or English, knowing that you get better thought of for doing so, I said Spanish, so it was a two language conversation, he spoke English, I spoke Spanish! Poor Marcela was left out in the waiting room, wondering what was going on.

The Doctor then informed me that I had varicocele, which is a varicose vein in the b@lls!! I had no idea that you could get one there, he stated that surgery was a way to correct the problem , but the results should be taken to a Urologist, to pursue it further.

Reception then told us, we should call back in an hour to collect the results, so we went off to complete some other tasks whilst waiting, we then collected the results, and went off for lunch.

After lunch we moved on to El Poblado, I visit the Gringo zone, to buy my marmalade, it seems to be the only place I can get decent orange marmalade, so it is worth it, from there we went across the road, and I purchased a Shredder, after we found that someone was stealing our rubbish, we worried about putting statements etc. out, so I started burning them, but it was a pain, now we have no worries.

Then it was back to Copacabana, to drop a letter off at the Town Hall, to say we had complied with their order to remove the raised garden, and asking them to consider putting in kerb stones to stop water running down the road eroding our land, there is no reason why not, the rest of the road has kerbs, and now our wall has gone, it is going to be a problem.  We couldn\’t leave Copacabana without making sure the Super Macedonias were up to scratch, and I can confirm that they are!

Then is was back home, stopping on the way to buy a sack of fertiliser for the garden, something that is not cheap at £23-60 a sack…well it seemed expensive to me, but I have lost touch with prices elsewhere.

That was another day over, early start again tomorrow, Marcela has a 9am Dentist appointment.
