My dental appointment yesterday was not at all what I was expecting, both Marcela and I thought I was going for another impression for my \’plate\’, however as I was called in, the nurse was lining up some ancient barbaric looking tools, the next thing I knew, I had had three injections, and my tooth stump had been whipped out, roots and all! I didn\’t feel a thing, have not had much bleeding, and no pain after the anaesthetic had worn off, if only it was always like that. I was even able to go and eat some breakfast.
Then it was home for lunch, and back to some woodwork, I finished varnishing the neighbours house name plate.
Marcela and I then had to put the cover back on the pool, she has spent three or four days cleaning the pool, following our return from holiday, unfortunately it was a bit like watching a comedy sketch, the cover had been totally removed from the area, so it had to be cleaned, pulled back into place, and then run across the pool before it sank! not easy when you have Pépe trying to be helpful, and a loaded hosepipe in hot weather was too much of a temptation, I will leave the rest to your imagination.
Today, Marcela watched the welcome home for the Colombian World Cup Team on TV, there were more than 100,000 people in Bogota to give them a Hero\’s welcome, it was nice to see.
Then we went out for a run to San Antonio de Pereira, for lunch, and to look for a large Garden Centre I had seen, but could not remember exactly where, true to form, we never found it, but stopped at a couple of small ones, also we had a nice lunch, so all was not lost.
On our return home, we went around to see our neighbour with her name plaque, fortunately she was delighted, so it was time well spent, it will be interesting to see how long it takes her son to put it up!
