Out of Kilter!

I think the last couple of weeks has thrown me out of kilter, I get up in the morning full of good intentions, but I haven\’t done a thing about the house since we returned from the UK.

I dress in my work clothes, but after breakfast that all changes, true… we have had to do a bit of rushing here and there, sorting out things that were on hold whilst we were away, but that is no excuse, and today I went back to bed this afternoon… knackered!.

Tomorrow we are rushing around again, I have to organise some medical appointments in the morning, then after lunch, I have got an appointment with an accountant to submit my first Colombian tax return, the law changed on 1st January 2013, and now, instead of having a five year tax break, all Foreigners have to submit a return from the date they enter the country as a resident. I am told that my bill should not be that high for last year, as I didn\’t own any property here, but what I don\’t yet know is how my pension will be effected, as there is no \’Double Tax Treaty\’ between Colombia and the UK, I could be stuffed on that, I\’ll just have to wait and see.

I moved to Colombia from Spain in 2012, and I am happily married to a Colombiana.
