I suppose it had to happen sometime, but now is not the best of times! I have been using Colombia\’s version of eBay, called MercadoLibre since arriving here, and had no problems until now. A couple of days ago, I saw a second hand Generator for sale, at a reasonable price, I had researched the generator as the make was not known to me, and for what it was, it seemed a good buy, and if you will excuse the pun, \’Good-bye\’ seems to be the operative word.
I made the purchase, and paid for the generator and delivery, only yesterday to see, the same advert reposted dated after I had paid.
Marcela, who knows the system here better than me, went on some official sites, and found that this man, Ricardo Contreras CC 3230632, is a Fraudster, with numerous official complaints made against him, but he has never been apprehended, in view of that, there is little point in me going and making a statement, I am just going to have to write off the loss, because with MercadoLibre, there is no payment protection system, and it seems that they are not interested in protecting Buyers, because most of the offences have taken place on their site.
