Now we have Christmas and New Year out of the way, it is time to get back into some sort of normality, and prepare… for next Christmas ha!ha!
This morning, I was up at 7.15am, took down all the decorations, boxed them and put them in storage for next year, one of the good things about Colombia, none of this \’twelve days of Christmas\’ rubbish!!! The only remnant of the New Year celebrations is that the neighbours are still outside with the music battering the walls, I am just hoping they have work tomorrow, 24 hours is more than long enough.
We spent New Years Eve at my Mother in law\’s house, or outside it, to be more exact, we had a BBQ and it was lovely, unfortunately my little Friend was tired and slept through it all upstairs, I just hope he was having some nice dreams to compensate for missing out on the food.
Next tuesday we fly down to Bogota to renew my Visa, so I will probably spend this week checking and double checking that I have everything in order, I don\’t want to have to make a second trip.
Weather wise here, it is uncomfortable at the moment, very hot and even more humid, and it is the humidity that causes me problems, which shouldn\’t be much of a problem in Bogota, where the weather is more on a par with the UK. I spend most of my time sitting next to a fan. I can understand people here who use air-con, but I hope I never have to go down that route!
I suppose now I will have to dig the diet sheets out, I will never lose what I have put on over Christmas before I see the Doc in February, but I had better make an effort.
I hope everyone gets what they wish for this year, as for New Year Resolutions, if you made them, I hope you can stick to them, as for me… I don\’t make them, then I can\’t break them, simple really! 😀
