Duck!!!!

There has not been a lot to report this week, it was a Fiesta on Monday, All Saints, which everyone else celebrated the week before!! However there was not much noise here, for a change.

My Specs are still not back from the Lab, I was told today that it will be next Wednesday, as they have had problems with their lab equipment, whether that is true or not, I have no idea, but I put a voice recording App on my mobile phone, so we have the conversation recorded if there are any problems, and we have decided that if they are not in next week, we will demand a refund, and go elsewhere.

We were going to go for a run out this Sunday to Santa Rosa de Osos, about an hour up the road, but as there was a massacre there yesterday, ten Farmers rounded up and a grenade thrown into the farm house, for not paying extortion money, we have decided that maybe that is not a wise move.

Violence seems to have escalated around Medellin this last few weeks, not connected directly to FARC, but the Crime Gangs are trying to flex their muscles, as a result many innocents are caught up in this and killed. Hopefully the Authorities are planning something to put a stop to this, before it gets totally out of hand. There have been a number of running battles between the Police and the Gangs, in Barrios not ten minutes from here. The Mayor of Medellin must be wishing he had kept his mouth shut, it was not long ago how he was bragging that the Medellin murder rate had dropped to it\’s lowest for years, now I think that is out of the window.

I am still having no luck finding out what is happening in Spain, I am told that it is all down to the Judge dealing with it, and she supposedly has a big backlog, tough, that is her problem, not mine, but there appears to be nothing I can do but sit and wait.

Marcela is on a course this week and next, so much to her annoyance, she has to get up at my usual time, of 6am, and she returns between 1.30 – 2pm, so I have been spending time cleaning, ironing, and moderating the Forum. We are hoping to go and see the latest James Bond film, but whether it will be this week or next, we are not sure yet.
