Social Week!

You may have noticed, that there have been some changes to the Blog, these are for my benefit as well as for others. Now, there are areas with write ups on towns and villages we visit, and restaurant reviews for anyone visiting the area, there may be further additions later, but for now…

Well… as you have seen already, we have been out and about quite a bit this week, it has been a bit like a holiday, with good days and not so good, however our latter two trips were well worth the time and effort of visiting.

I am not sure that I will be leaving Colombia ever again… I know I have already said about the number of drivers here without licences, however the other day there was a Report from the equivalent of the Civil Aviation Authority, which said that so far they have found ten Pilots, who have been flying commercial planes without the appropriate licence, in other words, flying us about the world, when not qualified to do so, and they have not finished their investigation yet!!!

Apparently, when these people applied for their \’licence\’ they gave false information, stating they had gained their qualifications abroad, and this was taken at face value, without any checks. It is frightening to say the least.

All we need now, is to find that the Captains of their ships have no qualifications either, and I will not be able to move!

I have decided to go on a diet, I had been feeling my waistline expanding again, and the photos whilst out and about this week confirmed that!  So evening meal now is being cut out in favour of fruit only, not my favourite as those who know me will tell you, but a necessity! So we will see how it goes.
