Independence Day… Colombia

Well the Blood Test went well, fortunately my sugar levels are normal, so I can now tuck back into dough-nuts and ice-cream!!!

Both yesterday and this morning, I have been swimming, I am now up to thirty lengths non stop in twenty minutes, which is no where near the distance of the old days, but I am getting there slowly, having to remember I am getting older.

Today in Colombia\’s 202nd Independence Day, from Spain, so everyone is celebrating, yet another Fiesta!
I don\’t expect we will get much sleep this week-end! How the neighbours keep up these celebrations every week, I have no idea, it must cost them a fortune in booze, staying outside until between 2-4am.

I had some disappointing news this morning, apparently the courts in Spain are being slower than usual at processing new Property Deeds, and it may be nearer the end of the year before the house is finally sold, this was news neither of us wanted to hear, and put us on a downer for a while, but there is nothing we can do about it, so we will just have to get on with life.

I think tonight we are watching \’The Dark Knight\’, I have downloaded it, this is in preparation for going to see \’The Dark Knight Rises\’ at the cinema next week, I am told if I don\’t watch this one, I will not understand the new one, and as you will have guessed, Marcela is a fan!! last week I sat her down and made her watch two episodes of Batman & Robin from 1966 on YouTube, those were the days!

That\’s it for this week, catch up with you again next week-end.

I moved to Colombia from Spain in 2012, and I am happily married to a Colombiana.
