I seem to take one step forward and two back!!! Today started with contact from the Shipping Agent stating that the Shipping Line wanted an authenticated letter of authority to allow the Shipping Agent to accept delivery of the crates. This would have meant going to the Notary again, and paying for another document, then paying for Courier delivery of the letter.
At first I point blank refused, both were hired by the Agent in Spain, and must have been put in touch with each other at that stage, so they know they should be working together. Later I compromised, and sent a scan copy of the letter by email, as they already have originals with my signature, whether that will be acceptable is another matter, but if they want any more, they can pay for it.
Then this afternoon, I had a call from the Bank, and they wanted more proof that my income was indeed a pension, I had given then copies of all my documents, and details of my UK Bank, which is in the same group, there was no reason they could not make internal contact to confirm this. After some heated discussion, of which Marcela took the brunt, they asked for another copy of the same letter I had provided minus the official government stamps, which I had for my Visa, now we will see how that goes.
